What do you do with €5.00 for dinner?
I will use that 5 Euro and head to either, San Lorenzo Mercato on Tuesday Mornings, or San Ambrogio Mercato and have a panino with fresh cheese, pomodori, and prosciutto.
What about €10.00?
I can make 10 Euro got a long way. As a matter of fact, I ate at a trattoria costing just this amount the other night. It is called Il Contadino on Via Palozzulo 71r. You receive a prim, secondo, cortorni, vino, acqua and caffe all for 10 Euro. Favoloso!
Who has the happiest happy hour?
My favorite aperitivo is venturing to Sei Divino on Borgo Ognissanti. It is quite secluded, there is a back room with comfy couch like booths. For 7 Euro, you purchase a glass of fine wine and eat as much as the fresh food as you want.
How much is too much to spend on transportation?
Only take a taxi when you absolutely need to. That also goes for buses. Even though the public transportation is fabulous here, while you walk around this city you can find things, places, that you can’t find on a bus ride.
What are your top three free thrills?
Piazzale Michelangelo–great views and romantic.
Fiesole–another great view from the other side and beautiful hills to walk through.
Bobolino–for a quiet walk without tourists. Close to Porta Romana.
My one big indulgence is…
Shopping for shoes at Leonardo’s Accessories on Via de’ Cerchi and at Bata on Via del Calzaioli
Shopping for dresses at Echo on Via dell’Oriuolo
If I had all the money in the world, I’d buy…
A house. One right in the center and one in the country or seaside.
